KiwiSign is built by Jonas Schaller in Upper Franconia, Germany — and we say that deliberately. No invented team, no anonymous startup. Just honest software for people whose income depends on signatures.

Why KiwiSign exists
Anyone who freelances knows the routine: send out an offer — then silence. Following up feels awkward, so it doesn't happen, and the deal fizzles out. Meanwhile the big e-signature providers charge enterprise prices, are bloated with features, and store contracts on US servers.

Fair question. That's why KiwiSign is built so you're never locked in: every signed document is yours as a PDF with signature proof — it stays valid no matter what happens to KiwiSign. You can export your data at any time.
Why no team?
Because small is an advantage here. No sales team, no meetings, no investors — every hour goes into product and support. User feature requests often ship within days, not “Q3 on the roadmap”.
Is it legally sound?
Yes. KiwiSign uses electronic signatures under the eIDAS regulation — the same EU framework the big providers use. For the vast majority of contracts (offers, service agreements, approvals) this is fully sufficient and legally valid.
